Information on the processing of personal data for sending marketing offers

1. Controller

In connection with the processing of your personal data, we provide you, as the data subject, with information under Articles 13 and 14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (the “GDPR”).

The controller is Igor Belica IB. plus, a self-employed sole trader who provides the accommodation under the Liptovgo brand in his own name (the “controller”).

2. Purpose and legal basis

We process your personal data for the purpose of sending marketing offers: Liptovgo news (newsletter) and offers for our properties by e-mail.

Giving consent is voluntary: you can send a reservation request and complete a booking without it, and refusing or withdrawing it does not affect your booking or the e-mails relating to it.

This purpose does not cover the single thank-you e-mail that we send the day after departure to guests who booked through our online booking system (where available). We send that e-mail on the basis of legitimate interest, not consent; it is described in the Privacy Policy and you can decline it separately.

The legal basis is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR, which you give in one of these ways:

• By ticking the optional box agreeing to receive news and offers (newsletter) in the booking form on booking.liptovgo.sk, where online booking is available.
• By signing up to the newsletter on liptovgo.sk.

3. Personal data processed

• Email address.
• First name and surname, if you give consent in the booking form when booking online (taken from the booking).
• Date of consent and its source (booking form or sign-up on the Site).
• Language, so that we send you news in the language you used.
• For sign-ups on the Site, also the wording of the consent you agreed to and the country from which consent was given; we do not store the IP address itself for this purpose.

4. Categories of recipients

We do not sell or publish personal data, and we do not send news through any third parties other than those listed below. We disclose the data only to these processors, which process it for us under a data processing agreement:

• Web hosting and email service provider: storage of newsletter sign-ups on the Site and sending news to people who signed up on the Site.
• Booking system provider (booking.liptovgo.sk, for online booking): the system in which consent given in the booking form is stored together with the booking data.

5. Transfers to third countries

Cloudflare is established outside the European Economic Area and may also process data on servers outside the EEA. Where that is the case, the transfer is safeguarded by standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission, or by an adequacy decision (the EU-US Data Privacy Framework).

6. Retention period

We keep personal data for this purpose for 5 years from when consent was given, or until you withdraw it, if sooner. After that we no longer process them for this purpose and delete them.

If you withdraw consent, we keep a record of your sign-up and unsubscribe so that we no longer send you news and can show that we respected your withdrawal.

7. Your rights

As a data subject you have in particular the following rights, set out in more detail in Articles 15 to 21 GDPR:

• The right of access to your personal data (Article 15 GDPR).
• The right to rectification of your personal data (Article 16 GDPR).
• The right to erasure of your personal data (Article 17 GDPR).
• The right to restriction of processing of your personal data (Article 18 GDPR).
• The right to data portability (Article 20 GDPR).
• The right to object to the processing of your personal data (Article 21 GDPR), including processing for direct marketing purposes.
• The right to withdraw consent at any time (Article 7(3) GDPR); withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before it.
• The right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority: Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic (Úrad na ochranu osobných údajov Slovenskej republiky), Galvaniho 7/B, 821 04 Bratislava, www.dataprotection.gov.sk. You may also complain to the supervisory authority in your country of habitual residence.

8. How to withdraw consent

You can withdraw your consent at any time, without giving reasons and free of charge, whether you gave it in the booking form or on the Site:

• By clicking the unsubscribe link contained in every newsletter. One-click unsubscribe from your mail client is supported as well, and it takes effect immediately.
• By email to liptovinfo@gmail.com; we will then unsubscribe you by hand.

9. Contact and exercising your rights

You can exercise your rights by email to liptovinfo@gmail.com, by telephone on +421 915 159 593 or in writing to the controller’s place of business given in section 1. If you ask for information to be given orally, we will provide it once your identity has been verified.

We will reply within one month of receiving your request at the latest; for complex requests that period may be extended by a further two months, and we will let you know if it is.
